KVM Over IPRaritan
Raritan pioneered the 32 port KVM-over-IP switch, which reduces the number of KVM switches required, lowers costs, installation time, and lowers maintenance effort. The KX132 supports a single, dense rack that reduces cabling and simplifies installation. It can also support two or more racks by leveraging its 150 foot distance capacity between the switch and target server.
Dominion® KX consists of two main components: the digital KVM switch and Computer Interface Modules (CIMs).
*The switch connects to each CIM to provide KVM-over-IP capability for remote access along with simultaneous local access for controlling servers at the rack.
*Each CIM connects to the KVM ports of an individual server and converts the video signal for transmission up to 150 feet over UTP (Cat5/5e/6) cabling. The CIMs also deliver Raritans patented "keep-alive" keyboard/mouse emulation.
*aritan's client software is automatically downloaded via browser; Stand-alone versions of client software can be pre-installed for modem access.
